- Small-scale contracts not covered by the Public Procurement Act have a new upper limit of up to EUR 10,000.
- The central purchasing body will be the Government Office of the Slovak Republic.
- The emblem focusing on the "specific" and "unique" requirements of the subject-matter of the procurement is also deleted.
- The public procurement rules for subsidised entities are simplified (§ 8) – the elimination of national goldplating.
- The administrative procedure for the Public Procurement Office will be one-off. The court will examine such a decision of the Office.
- A single and publicly available electronic platform for the entire procurement process is being introduced.
- Contracting authorities must comply with the new green quotas.
- The competences and functioning of the Public Procurement Office are regulated.
- An institute of manifestly unfounded objections is being introduced. For construction works up to 800,000, it will not be possible to object.
